Milwaukee’s immigrant heritage, industrial history and location on the shores of Lake Michigan make it a uniquely appealing destination. Though it’s Wisconsin’s biggest city, it feels smaller, being divided into neighborhoods, each with a distinctive feel and history and each highlighting an aspect of the city’s culture. Settled heavily by Central Europeans, Milwaukee is an undeniable beer destination, brewing more beer than any other city in the world, and home to four of the world’s largest breweries. To go with that beer, the city also hosts some of the biggest festivals in the world, especially the Guinness World Record holding Summerfest. It’s not all about adult entertainment, though. The city’s fun, friendly vibe can resonate with travelers at any age.
